FC Northbridge travelled to Blue Circle in the knowledge that they were rooted to the bottom of the table, but this didn't seem to bother them as they dominated large periods of the first half.
Their first goal came from Gary Cullen and by the interval their lead had doubled thanks to a Blue Circle own goal from Simon Dolbear.
The second period saw the cement-men turn the match around and they fought their way back to level terms with goals from the ever dependable Darryl Maxwell and Sean Sheppard. Northbridge then held on to take their first point of the season and move off the bottom of the table, to be replaced by Westbury United A.
WITH Seend United in Wilts Junior Cup action, Frome Town Sports took their opportunity to move into number one spot with a 2-1 victory over Lavington.
The first half saw both teams unable to break each other down. The second period saw all the goals coming in a 15 minute spell midway through, with Joe Upshall and James Hounsell scoring for Frome and Lavington's reply coming from Myles Hickton.
TROWBRIDGE Town A recorded their first league victory of the season by thumping Westbury United A 9-4.
By half-time the match had already seen six goals with the score level at 3-3, Lee Hayward with a hat trick for Trowbridge and two from Kieran Stone and one from Eddie Troughton for Westbury.
The second half then saw Westbury take the lead as Steve Bruce netted, but this only seemed to inspire Trowbridge as they hit back with six goals. Lee Hayward scored his fourth of the match and then Sean Daniels (2), Steve Morris, Ronnie Frost and Jamie Jordan found the target.
