One arrested after armed police op

AN armed operation in Trowbridge yesterday led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of firearms and drugs offences.
Following an incident in the county town, police stopped a car in Bradford Road at about 5pm.
As a result, a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and drugs with intent to supply.
Inspector Mike White said: "The swift and professional police response to this incident has without doubt prevented the commission of serious offences."
