THE Box Steam Brewery was presented with an award by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) last night.
The brewery’s Tunnel Vision, named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s famous tunnel in the village of Box, won Beer of the Festival at the recent Chippenham CAMRA Beer Festival.
Brewery manager Gordon King was presented with the award at The Inn at Freshford, whose landlord Ken Roberts also owns the brewery.
The brewery has recently started producing more of its ales in bottles - Tunnel Vision, Figgy Pudding and Dark & Handsome are all now available in special bottles that use a third less glass than normal, making them less heavy to transport and thus more eco-friendly.
The brewery has also started sponsoring Westwood Football Club and its logo will soon be appearing on the strip.
